Art Prints

So I’ve been working hard and even got a swanky new printer (I needed one anyway so it just worked out well) but I now have a way of creating Prints of my art! Yeee! I’ve been creating some watercolour pictures, with a theme of elegant skulls, where they’re animal skull masks. Animals have some crazy looking skulls! I think Ram and Bull skulls are my personal favourites but the Bird I did looks pretty 🙂

I’ll have the prints available for sale too if I ever get to a market. I’m checking out Sunbury Village Market this Saturday so fingers crossed its the right environment I’m after!

Here are the few I’ve done so far, let me know what you think!

Market Day

So I’ve been really eager on the idea of making a heap of little crafties and getting a stall at a market to sell them. Last market I checked out to see if it would be worth selling was a trash and treasure market which was…. mostly trash and less treasure.

Although there was a moment of hilarity when my partner and I found an old box tucked away in one of the stalls that had porn on VHS tapes. Boy that takes you back, VHS porn, lol!

Anyway we’re going to check out our local rotary market this Saturday and if all goes well I shall get a stall for next month!

All the little mandala stones and owls and things I’ve been working on are what I want to sell along with some original canvas work and hopefully some cute little watercolour prints! Might get some more ideas while we’re there as well! If I see anything super interesting I’ll post a picture for you guys!

New Computer Parts

My new computer parts arrived today! I didn’t get the chance to put it together as I had to go to work (read: I was playing ARK) but I’m so keen to get it together tonight!

I like to think it will allow me to be more productive given it’s got a new mother board and I’ve finnalt got DDR4 Ram but I don’t think that’s the case.

The new tower is GIANT though! Lots of airflow so she’s run cooler too. 😍

Varnish Troubles

So I ended up going out today and buy some polymer varnish to help set the paint on the pebbles in doing.

First try on one I had just painted, and was rather proud of, and it pulled a heap of the very tiny white dots I had placed and shifted them all around. I think it has to do with how the paint sits on the pebbles themselves so I’m going to use the varnish (glass finish AND medium) as a base coat, paint on top of that so hopefully the paint takes to the varnish then do another layer on top.

Cross your fingers for me!

Mandala Stones

So I brought a couple bags of stone for some of my projects, see tic tac toe and the owl stones and on a couple I painted something that I’ve actually been really enjoying because it’s simple yet takes a steady hand.

These absorbable little mandala stones! I love the patterns and the simplicity. I’ll probably be making a lot more of them and they will also be for sale when I go to the market
